How to choose an auto-content service for your site
An auto-content service writes articles and publishes them to your site. Choose it by whether it publishes to your CMS, what one article costs, how you can pay and what you see after publishing. Below are 15 criteria, the price math and a test to run before paying.
Updated · By Bogdan Kolomiets, founder of SEO Writer
Key takeaways
- An auto-content service does more than write text: it publishes articles to your site with images, meta tags and on a schedule.
- Check first whether it publishes to your CMS and what happens if the site's REST API is locked.
- Compare the price of one article, not of a subscription: at SEO Writer it is ₽43–86 on the plans.
- For Russia, what matters is paying with a Russian card or by invoice and working without a VPN.
- Before paying, generate 2–3 articles for your own queries and see how they land on the site.
Which service to choose: the short answer
First decide what you actually need: a text or a published article. That determines the kind of tool.
| If you need | Use |
|---|---|
| A text now and then that you paste in yourself | a chatbot such as ChatGPT |
| A regular flow of blog articles without manual work | an auto-content service: it writes, formats and publishes |
| Writing right inside the WordPress editor | a generator plugin inside WordPress |
| Expert texts with interviews and your own data | a copywriter or an editorial team |
The rest of this page is about choosing an auto-content service: which criteria matter, how to work out the price of an article and how to test a service before paying. We build such a service ourselves, so next to every criterion we say plainly how it works at SEO Writer, and separately when it is not a fit.
15 criteria for choosing an auto-content service
| Criterion | What to check before paying | How SEO Writer does it |
|---|---|---|
| Where it publishes | whether your CMS is supported, whether a custom site can connect | WordPress, 1C-Bitrix, InSales, Joomla; any site via webhook on paid plans |
| If the REST API is locked | what happens when a security plugin or the host blocks the WordPress REST API | a plugin from the WordPress.org directory, on every plan |
| Draft or live | whether you can choose the post status and a schedule | draft or publish right away, set per site; scheduler on paid plans |
| Price of one article | the price of an article, not a subscription, and what counts as one article | ₽43–86 on the plans; a longread uses 6 articles |
| Paying from Russia | Russian cards, SBP, invoices for companies, automatic charges | YooKassa: cards including MIR, SBP, YooMoney, SberPay, T-Pay; invoices for companies on request; no auto-renewal |
| Free start | whether a card is needed, how much you can try | 7 days of Pro access without a card, then the free plan |
| Topic research | whether it studies sources and search results before writing | topic research before every article; longreads also analyze the top Yandex or Google results |
| Topic ideas | where topics come from and whether they have search volume | topic research for your site with Yandex Wordstat volume, skipping what you already wrote |
| Brand voice | whether you can set tone, style and company facts | brand voice and company facts in site settings; editing in the dashboard with version history |
| Images and cover | where images come from | images in the text; a cover on paid plans and during the trial |
| SEO fields | whether it fills in Title and Description in the SEO plugin | Title and Description; on WordPress in the Yoast, Rank Math and SEOPress fields, and with our plugin in All in One SEO too |
| Structure for AI search | key takeaways, FAQ, structured data | in every article: key takeaways, FAQ with FAQPage, HowTo, Article — more |
| Several sites | site limit, a workspace for clients | 1, 2, 5 or 20 sites by plan; an agency workspace with sign-in as a client and article approval |
| After publishing | whether you can see if the article got into search | the Search tab from Yandex Webmaster on paid plans, “Write a section” and “Improve the article” |
| Export and checks | whether you can take the text, whether uniqueness is checked | Word, HTML, Markdown; uniqueness via text.ru; no separate AI-detection score |
The last row is an example of what to look for in any service's description: what it does not have. If a service never mentions its limits, you will find them after paying.
How much one article costs
Comparing subscriptions is pointless: one service sells 15 articles, another sells tokens, a third charges per article. Compare the price of one article and ask three things:
- what counts as one article and how much a long one costs;
- whether images, a cover and publishing to the site are included;
- whether unused articles expire at the end of the month.
SEO Writer prices per article:
| Plan | Per month | Articles | Price per article | With annual billing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | ₽1 290 | 15 | ₽86 | ₽61 |
| Pro | ₽2 990 | 50 | ₽60 | ₽43 |
| Agency | ₽9 990 | 150 | ₽67 | ₽47 |
If you run short, you can add a pack to a paid plan — pack articles never expire and roll over to the next month:
| Pack | Price | Price per article |
|---|---|---|
| 5 articles | ₽590 | ₽118 |
| 10 articles | ₽990 | ₽99 |
| 25 articles | ₽1 990 | ₽80 |
| 50 articles | ₽2 990 | ₽60 |
The price covers writing, images, markup and publishing to your site. A longread with an analysis of the top search results uses 6 articles of the limit. All prices are on the pricing page.
Russian auto-content services: quick pointers
A detailed table with prices, CMSs and where a competitor is stronger is on the comparisons page. The facts there come from the services' own websites and were re-checked on 23 October 2026. In brief:
| Service | Payment | Publishes to | Strength |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zapolnil | top-up from ₽990, ₽15–40 per article | WordPress; Bitrix “coming soon” | top-10 analysis, pay as you go |
| SerpJet | tokens, about ₽128–143 per article by the site's estimates | WordPress via a plugin, your own site via API | statistics and article improvement from Webmaster |
| Text-Zavod | ₽390–590 per article on the homepage, subscriptions in the offer | WordPress, Modx, Bitrix | competitor matrix, content plan, AI-detection check |
| AI WP Writer | subscriptions and credit packs, the price depends on the model | WordPress only, it is a plugin | everything inside the WordPress admin |
| Verbius | tokens valid 30 days, ₽9–18 per article by the site | publishing not advertised, file export | briefs from the live top-10 and an SEO score |
| KONTENTZAVOD | subscription from ₽25,000 a month excluding VAT | WordPress, Bitrix, Tilda | news from current events, setup handled by the service |
| SEO Writer | plans, ₽43–86 per article | WordPress, Bitrix, InSales, Joomla, any site | publishing, media and markup in every article, the Search tab |
Prices change, so check each service's website before paying.
How to test a service before paying: 6 steps
The description on any service's website is a promise. A test on your own site takes an hour and shows more.
- 1
Sign up without a card and connect your site
A test site or publishing as drafts is best: nothing unwanted reaches readers. If the connection fails, that is a result too — see whether the service explains why. - 2
Generate 2–3 articles for your own queries
Use real queries from your niche, including a hard one, not demo topics. On easy topics every service looks the same. - 3
See how the article landed on the site
Category, images and cover, Title and Description in the SEO plugin, headings, structured data. You can check the page with our free tool. - 4
Read the article as a customer would
Look for made-up numbers, other companies' prices and promises you do not make. This is the main risk of any generator: a model writes confidently even where it does not know the facts. - 5
Work out the price per article at your volume
How many articles a month you need, how many of them are long, and what happens if you run out before the month ends. - 6
Check what happens after publishing
Whether the search engine learns about the new article, whether you can see if it got into search, and whether you can improve it if it gets no impressions.
When SEO Writer is not a fit
- You need an AI-detection score. There is no separate AI-detection check, only a uniqueness check via text.ru.
- You need a content plan exported to Excel with a client approval link. Topics are picked in the dashboard, and finished articles are approved in the agency workspace.
- Your site is on a builder that does not accept articles from outside. Tilda, for example: there is no direct publishing there, but you can export an article to Word or HTML.
- You need news from RSS feeds and Telegram channels. That is a different kind of service — for media, not an SEO blog.
- You only want to pay per article without a plan. Article packs are added on top of a paid plan.
If any of this matters to you, compare us with other services — in our comparisons we say plainly where a competitor is stronger.

SEO Writer against the selection criteria, in brief
Who an auto-content service suits
Site and store owners
The blog matters for search, but there is no time or budget for a copywriter. The service publishes on a schedule, you review the drafts.
Marketers and SEO specialists
You need a stream of keyword-driven articles with markup and meta tags, and after publishing — data on what got into search.
Agencies
Up to 20 client sites in one workspace, sign-in as a client and article approval before publishing.

What users say
Real results from real people
““I have been running a football blog for over 5 years and always wrote myself or hired authors at 2,000–3,000 rubles per article. I tried SEO Writer sceptically. A month later 23 new articles were indexed, three months later traffic was up 60%. Now I pay for the Starter plan and save about 40,000 ₽ a month on texts. The quality is honestly no worse than a good copywriter, the structure is correct and logical.””
““Content was always the bottleneck — we take on clients quickly, but finding authors for each project takes long. SEO Writer solved this completely. We set up 8 sites, each publishing 3–4 articles a week. We especially value native support for Bitrix and InSales, since half of our clients use them. No Western tool can do that.””
““Our store runs on InSales with lots of products, and the blog stood empty for three years. We connected SEO Writer and published 27 articles for informational queries in two months. Now about 30% of new customers come from organic search, while before we relied only on paid ads. I like that articles add internal links to our products and categories by themselves — nothing to do by hand.””
““Your service is great, and the support is mind-blowing — thank you!””
Frequently Asked Questions
Which auto-content service should I choose for a WordPress site?
One that publishes to WordPress on its own, fills in Title and Description in your SEO plugin, adds images and a cover, and works even when the site's REST API is locked. SEO Writer connects to WordPress through the REST API and an application password, and through its own plugin from the WordPress.org directory when the REST API is locked. Before paying, generate 2–3 articles for your own queries and see how they land on the site.
Can I pay with a Russian card or by invoice?
Yes. Payment goes through YooKassa: bank cards including MIR, SBP, YooMoney, SberPay and T-Pay. An invoice for a company is issued by hand on request to support. There is no auto-renewal; every payment is one-off.
How much does one article cost at SEO Writer?
₽43–86 on the plans depending on the plan and monthly or annual billing; packs on top of a plan cost ₽60–118 per article. A longread with a top-results analysis uses 6 articles. The price covers writing, images, markup and publishing.
Can I try it for free?
Yes. After sign-up you get 7 days of Pro access without a card, then the free plan. That is enough to connect a site and test a few articles on your own queries.
Are articles published right away or as drafts?
As you choose in the site settings: as drafts or live. Paid plans include a scheduler, so articles go out on a schedule.
Do I need a WordPress plugin?
Usually not: WordPress connects through the REST API and an application password. The plugin is needed when a security plugin or the host locks the REST API. It is free, listed in the WordPress.org directory and works on every plan.
Does it suit an agency with several clients?
Yes. The Agency plan includes up to 20 sites and 150 articles a month, an agency workspace with clients, sign-in as a client and article approval before publishing.
Should I check articles before they go live?
Yes, at least the first ones. The model writes from the facts it finds, but your company's prices, deadlines and promises need a human to confirm them. Publishing as drafts is easiest until you are confident in the quality.
