How Image Search Works

At step 9 of the pipeline, AI SEO Writer:

1. Forms a search query for each article section

2. Searches Google Images via SerpAPI

3. Downloads images via ScraperAPI (proxy)

4. For WordPress — uploads to media library and inserts with AI-generated alt text

5. For Bitrix, InSales, Joomla — inserts external image URLs

Do You Need a SerpAPI Key?

Without a key, the image step is skipped — articles still publish, just without inline images. The key is added per site:

1. Get a key at serpapi.com (free: 100 searches/month)

2. Add it in Sites → [Your site] → Settings → Additional APIs → SerpAPI

Cover Image

The article cover image is generated separately by an AI image generator and does not depend on SerpAPI. Covers are available on Starter, Pro, and Agency plans. See: AI Cover Images.

Limitations

• Images come from open Google Images search
