What Is an AI Cover Image
AI SEO Writer automatically generates a unique cover image (featured image) for every article. The cover is created from the article's title and meta description using the kie.ai image generation service.
Which Plans Include It
Cover generation is available on Starter, Pro, and Agency plans, as well as during the Pro trial period (7 days after registration). Cover images are not generated on the Free plan.
How It Works
- At step 11 of the pipeline, the AI analyzes the article title and description to create a visual prompt
- The prompt is sent to kie.ai — the image generation service
- The image is generated asynchronously — the article publishes without waiting, and the cover is attached to the already-published post within 1–3 minutes
The process is fully automatic — no user action is required.
How the Cover Gets Into the CMS
- WordPress: the cover is uploaded to the WordPress media library and set as the post's Featured Image
- Bitrix, InSales, Joomla: the cover is passed as the article's intro/detail image directly during publishing
Text Language on the Cover
If the article language is Russian — any text on the cover will also be in Russian. For English articles — in English. This is set automatically based on the site's article language setting.
If the Cover Didn't Appear
- Wait 3–5 minutes after publishing — covers attach asynchronously
- Check the Logs tab — if
step_generate_coverfailed, the system kie.ai key was temporarily unavailable. The article is still published correctly. - You can regenerate the cover using the Regenerate cover button on the article page
Cover vs SerpAPI Images
Cover generation is independent of SerpAPI. SerpAPI is used to find inline images within the article text — these are separate pipeline steps.
